EMSTA, Inc. is approved to offer PHTLS classes as mandated by the NAEMT. This is a 2 day, 8 hours per day class and is intended for individuals who care for trauma patients in the prehospital arena. We teach this class to a combination of certification/license levels including: EMT-Basic; Paramedic; RN; and other EMS providers. The class consists of a combination of lecture, skill demonstrations and hands on practice/simulations with “moulaged patients.”

Skills demonstrated and practiced are:
Airway - Basic adjuncts, Needle Decompression, Oral Intubation (several techniques) and Nasal Intubation

Upon successful completion of the course, an NAEMT PHTLS card will be issued and the student will receive 16 hours of continuing education. |
